All colleagues of the Medical Association of Acupotomy:
It is a great pleasure to see the Canadian Acupotomy Medical Association set up on July 22, 2018. Although I am unable to attend the meeting, I hope that my experience in Chinese medicine will be of some help to us in understanding Acupotomy Medicine.
I graduated from Northwestern Polytechnical University. Then I worked in the Ministry of Space, Foreign Enterprise, and moved to finance after emigrating to Canada in 2000. My major was automation. Insomnia has been a serious problem for me since the second year of high school. He was so tired that he could not work and live normally. These may be unthinkable. For more than 20 years, I have been seeking medical attention. But sigh that there is no good medicine for insomnia.
In the summer of 2013, I came to Haikou to meet Dr. Zou Liguo at the Acupotomy Hospital. It was mainly for the treatment of cervical spondylosis, but what I didnt expect was that a few minutes of acupotomy treatment on that day had allowed me to get a good nights sleep. This is the first deep sleep Ive had in over 20 years.
My experience was that the acupotomy loosened the taut muscles, the constricted blood vessels in the neck were relaxed and the blood flowed more freely into the brain. The adequate blood supply in the brain ensures good sleep.
After this, Dr. Zou also did the waist, the knee part of the treatment for me. During this period, I saw many patients from all over the country, even from Japan to Dr. Zous clinic for treatment. In conversation with other patients, it was found that acupotomy treatment had a significant effect on the long-term pain of shoulder, cervical vertebra, lumbar vertebra and knee. This experience, along with some other traditional Chinese medicine treatments, led me to learn Chinese medicine step by step.
After returning to Canada, he studied acupuncture and Chinese medicine at the Toronto College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Canadian College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In January 2018, five Canadian provincial examinations were passed and in June 2018, a certificate of practice in acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine was obtained.
I am well aware that the study of Chinese medicine and acupuncture has only just begun. I still need to learn from Dr ZOU and his predecessors to improve their professional standards so as to achieve the goal of curing the sick and saving the sick.
Here I would like to express my deep appreciation to Dr. Zou for his continued encouragement and instruction, support from his family, and serious teaching by the school teachers. I hope that acupuncture medicine can take root in Canada and bring good news for more patients.
I wish this Conference every success.
